ENTEGRA@QUARTZSITE 2021
“COVID-19 Pandemic Version”
Plans are being made for a modified version of the ENTEGRA@QUARTZSITE GATHERING, which will be held on Bureau of Land Management Land starting January 15th (Friday) through January 24th(Sunday), 2021.
However, the Gathering will be very different than it has been the past 4 or 5 years and will harken back to the first year we had the Gathering. Due to the problems inherent in the time of the pandemic COVID-19, this coming January, there 1.) will be NO catered meals provided as part of the registration fee or compliments of Entegra Coach company. 2.) There will be no “Pot Luck” lunches or dinnerssponsored by Dee and me (the Wagonmasters) permitted, 3.) Registrants will be expected to A.) socially distance while in attendance, and B.) wear an approved face mask over nose and mouth while outside mixing with other participants. If you are not willing to live with these constraints, then please do not register for the Gathering. Also, given that many experts feel that the COVID pandemic will get much worse in November, December, and January than it is now, there is more than a small chance that the GATHERING will need to be cancelled.
Costs this year will just be to cover the costs of the nightly bonfires. The total cost will be $20.00 in addition to the $40 fee paid to the Bureau of Land Management to cover your ability to use the land, the potable water supply, the sewage dump station, and the dumpster garbage containers. The $40 land use fee will be paid by check or credit card to the BLM rangers upon entrance to the land, and $20 paid by credit card to register for the event through this event page (click the Register button). Again, registering attests that you and other occupants will live up to the expectations on mask wearing and social distancing while at the Gathering. Any unspent funds for bonfire will be returned to the ECOA organization budget for future Gathering expenses.
Registration on the ECOA page will open November 1, 2020 (or soon after) and will remain open until 60 or fewer official registrants are enrolled. If not an ECOA member and having difficulty in registering, contact the wagonmaster at gary.jones@LSUS.edu
While plans certainly can change, there is limited space at the Gathering if you want to be parked close to the other coaches, so if you are seriously considering attending, early registration is important. Also, please do not invite other coaches that are not officially registered.
