We had a mishap with our dishwasher while rounding an unexpected curve a bit too fast.  The drawer came open and broke the end piece on one of the rails.  We had locked the drawer but didn't realize the lock wasn't designed to hold if the power to the coach was interrupted.  The following is the inf. I received from Entegra.

Every time the customer locks the dishwasher they should immediately shut off the dishwasher breaker above the drivers seat.

-This will insure the lock function stays in place while the customer travels.

-There is not a “lock” on the dishwasher.

-The dishwasher locks by vacuum seal.

-If the customer locks the dishwasher and somehow power fluctuates, it will default to “ready mode” and will no longer be locked.

-This may happen when the customer disconnects from shore power or starts the coach.

    Happy Travels

PS Don't forget to flip the breaker back on when you are stationary :)

    April 2018 IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL

This Notice Applies To Your Recreational Vehicle

    NHTSA Recall Campaign # 18V-077

    Dear Valued Customer:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Entegra has decided that certain Model Year 2017–2018 Insignia and 2015-2016 Aspire Class A motorhomes built on chassis supplied by Spartan Motors USA, Inc. (Spartan) fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS No. 121), “Air Brake Systems”. Specifically, the combined volume of air in all service and supply reservoirs does not meet the required 12X combined volume of air for all service brake changes as defined in section S5.1.2.1.

The remedy for this condition is not yet available and is contingent on the decision from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) on Spartan’s petition for inconsequentiality (reference 17V-815). Timing for this decision is not yet known.

In March of this year Entegra sent you a notification of this recall with instructions to contact Spartan Motors to get your vehicle remedied. This notification was sent in error. We will contact you as soon as NHTSA and Spartan Motors reach a decision.

We certainly regret this inconvenience; however your safety is our most important priority.

    Sincerely,

    Entegra Coach

    SummerFest Rally at Urbanna, VA

    July 18-21, 2017\

    BethPage Camp-Resort

Sponsored by Entegra Coach and Spartan

Aye Matey – those scalawags at Entegra Coach have done it again. They put on another great and grand rally. Optional excursions included a cruise on the Rappahannock River, or a day at Colonial Williamsburg. Attendees could sign up for a ‘One on One’ session with an Entegra Coach professional to ask questions or learn something new about their coach – it was a very informative session. Of course the wonderful Entegra Service Team was there providing service on up to three items for the rally attendees. Then we had Treasure Thursday when we could earn raffle tickets by attending a zumba session, playing miniature golf, going down one of the giant water slides, and other daring adventures. The rally closed with a pirate dinner with delicious grog and food. Those that did not dress like a pirate were ‘made to walk the plank’.

Thank You Entegra Coach and Spartan for this great and grand rally,

    Lynn Crowley

    Solar Eclipse Eye Safety

As we all look forward to the August 21st, 2017 solar eclipse, please pay close attention to the following safety recommendations:

    1. In and around Atlanta, it is NOT safe to directly look at the eclipse without proper eye protection…not even for a few seconds.  Temporary, and sometimes permanent loss of vision may occur if we fail to take proper safety precautions.  This damage will occur painlessly since the cells in the retina that are damaged during the eclipse do not have any pain receptors. Although in Atlanta there will be a 97% eclipse, only 100% eclipses may be safely viewed without proper eye protection and even then, only for the exact amount of time of that 100% eclipse…not before and not after.  So, in Atlanta, do not directly view without certified ISO (International Organization of Standardizations) eye protection.

    2. It is only safe to view the eclipse if you wear special certified and verified eclipse glasses.  NASA has released a list of vendors that are approved.  Please do NOT purchase your eclipse glasses from any other vendor…only purchase them from one of the following approved manufacturers and purchase them directly from that vendor.  All approved glasses will be stamped with both the ISO approved symbol as well as the manufacturer’s name:

      1. American Paper Optics (Eclipseglasses.com)

      2. Rainbow Symphony (Eclipse shades)

      3. Thousand Oaks Optical (Silver-Black Polymer and SolarLite)

      4. TSE 17

      5. Baader Planetarium (AstroSolar Silver/Gold Film)

    3. Be sure to inspect your approved glasses to ensure that they are ISO and manufacturer stamped and inspect the lenses looking for any scratches or defects in the lenses.  Do not use them if they are scratched, wrinkled or more than three years old.

    4. NASA has found that several vendors NOT listed above are selling eclipse glasses that contain the ISO stamp even though they do NOT meet the required safety standard for direct viewing of the eclipse.  DO NOT BUY THEM.  Only purchase from the NASA approved vendors.

    5. In Atlanta, the eclipse with take place from 1:05 pm until 4:01 pm.  The peak of the eclipse will occur at 2:36 pm and will last for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

    6. It is NOT safe to view the eclipse directly with any of the following:

      1. Regular sunglasses, no matter how dark they are and no matter how many pairs you put together.

      2. Through any binoculars, telescopes or cameras (even cell phone cameras) without certified lenses that are approved and manufactured specifically for that device.  It is NOT safe to view through these devices even if you are wearing approved direct viewing eclipse glasses.  These approved direct viewing eclipse glasses are only safe to be used for direct viewing without looking through binoculars, telescopes or cameras.

If you have any questions, please feel free to go to the NASA.GOV website or contact our office at 404-233-3513.

We are proud to say that we have now had our first Entegra Coach University (ECU) under our belts and it was, according to those in attendance, very successful!  Just to clarify, this is a 3-day instructional class taught by PJ Clanton with some help from Mike O’Connell and “Big” Mike from Spartan had a condensed portion of all things chassis related as well.  This classis opened to 7 coach owners at a time – we keep it small in number so that it is a much more intimate setting to make you feel that you are getting the most out of the class as possible.  Our purpose is to provide you with as much knowledge of your coach as we can so that your experience is even better than before.    Imagine owning a 2012 coach since 2013 and never knowing you had in-floor heat;  I can tell you that these owners left here much happier just knowing this besides all the other information they were given.

We have a class coming up September 11-13 as well as October 9-11.  Even though September is full, you may still sign up in case someone cancels for some reason and there are still a couple of openings in October.  Try to join us if you can – we don’t think you will be disappointed.  Cost for class is $600.00 and you can click on www.entegracoach.com/ecu for more details and for registering.  Classes for next year will be posted later in the fall so that you might be able to plan your schedule around dates that might work for you.

As always, we appreciate your business and your friendship.  If you have any questions or concerns that we might be able to help with, please be sure to let us know.

Take care, stay well and keep rollin’ along………..
